Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Ortho Analyser. These Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms") apply when you visit ortho-analyser.com, create an account, join our waiting list, or take or buy a course in the Ortho Analyser academy. By doing any of these, you accept these Terms. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1. Who we are

This site and the academy are operated by Ortho-Analyser, an independent business established in Switzerland ("Ortho Analyser", "we", "us").

2. What these Terms cover

• The academy — orthodontic courses with lessons, quizzes and tracing exercises on real, anonymised cases. Some courses are free; others are sold individually.
• The waiting list — an email list announcing when our clinical software becomes available.
• The website and its articles.

3. Who may use the academy

The academy is for dental and orthodontic students, residents and practitioners. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy a course.

4. Your account

You sign in with a link we send to your email address, or with a password if you have set one. Keep access to that mailbox secure: anyone who can read it can open your account. Tell us at once at contact@ortho-analyser.com if you think someone else has used your account. Accounts are personal and may not be shared.

Please give us an email address you control. We may suspend an account used in breach of these Terms, after telling you why where we can.

5. Free courses

Free courses are open to anyone with an account, at no charge. We may change which courses are free, but a lesson you have completed stays in your progress record.

6. Buying a course

Price. Prices are shown on each course page in the currency indicated and include VAT where VAT applies. The price you pay is the price shown when you start checkout; a promotion code, if you have one, is applied there.

Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details. A course is a one-time purchase: there is no subscription and nothing renews.

Access. Once your payment is confirmed, the whole course opens in your account: every lesson, quiz and exercise it contains. You keep that access for as long as we offer the course. If we withdraw a course, you keep access to it for at least 12 months after we tell you, and in any case for at least 24 months from your purchase. Courses may be updated and corrected over time; you keep access to the current version.

Your right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the European Union or another country that grants one, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. A course is digital content that opens immediately. At checkout you are asked to agree that access starts straight away and to acknowledge that, as a result, you lose your right of withdrawal once the course opens. If you do not give that agreement, the purchase cannot be completed. The confirmation email we send after your purchase repeats it.

If something goes wrong. If you are charged but the course does not open, or a technical fault on our side prevents you from using it, write to contact@ortho-analyser.com: we will open it or refund you. If you were charged twice for the same course, we refund the duplicate.

Invoices. Stripe emails a receipt for every purchase. Ask us if you need an invoice with your business details.

7. What the courses are, and are not

Courses are educational. They teach methods and how to read results; they are not clinical advice about any patient, and they do not replace your own training, supervision or clinical judgement.

Scores on quizzes and tracing exercises measure your work against the reference we provide. They are feedback for learning, not a professional qualification. Our courses are not currently accredited for continuing professional development (CPD) credits; if one becomes accredited, its course page will say so.

The radiographs used in exercises are anonymised teaching cases, used with consent. Do not try to identify the people they show.

8. Using the content

The courses, lessons, quizzes, exercises, cases, images, articles and the software of the site belong to Ortho Analyser or are used under licence. Buying or joining a course gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own learning. You may not copy, publish, share or resell course content, share your account, or extract the cases and their reference tracings.

9. The waiting list

Joining the waiting list only asks for your email address. We will write to you about the availability of our clinical software, and you can unsubscribe from any message in one click. Joining creates no account, no obligation and no right to any product.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the site available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or by events outside our control. We may add, change or retire courses and features. If we retire a course you bought, the access described in section 6 applies.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or the courses, or for how the content is applied in practice. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

12. Closing your account

You may close your account at any time by writing to contact@ortho-analyser.com. Closing it ends access to your courses, including courses you bought. Records of purchases are kept for accounting, as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date above will change, and we will tell account holders by email about significant changes. A course you have already bought keeps the access terms that applied when you bought it.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, unless the mandatory law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim there as a consumer.
